SUPERINTENDENT’S MESSAGE

Welcome!

Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to visit our website.

Richmond Christian School is a dynamic and vibrant school located on three campuses in the city of Richmond, BC. The school houses 999 students from preschool through grade twelve and is currently ranked among the top thirty schools in British Columbia. Our mission is “to provide a quality, Christ-centered education equipping all students to joyfully serve Christ in all aspects of life.”  All classes are taught from a strong Christian perspective and students are challenged to “love the Lord their God with all their heart, mind, soul and strength.”

The elementary campus of Richmond Christian School is located on Woodwards Road in west Richmond.  The newly painted and renovated school is home to fifty staff members and nearly five hundred students.  The school is characterized by happy students who are challenged on a daily basis to exhibit the qualities of care, respect and service.  Students in grades one through five enjoy the benefits of a music, physical education and comprehensive French program.  A state of the art playground keeps students occupied during their break times and compliments the robust educational program of the school.

The middle campus, which incorporates grades six through eight, opened in the fall of 2008.  The middle school is designed to meet the unique personalities and learning requirements of the early adolescent student. Students are actively engaged in their learning and are supported by able and caring teachers.  The annual camp retreat in September sets the tone for the school year and helps establish strong relationships between students and with the staff.  The learning requirements, as set out by the Ministry of Education, are addressed in an age-appropriate manner throughout the various grades and subject areas. The middle school is definitely a place of high energy and activity.

The secondary campus is housed within two state-of-the-art buildings.  Phase 1 opened in 2008 and Phase 2 opened in 2014.  The staff is committed to providing a strong educational program and students are given ample opportunity to hone their skills and abilities in academics and athletics as well as in the music, industrial arts and home economics programs. Students have the privilege of extending their learning beyond the classroom as various trips are organized for missions and special interest groups.

Richmond Christian School is built on the premise that the home, school and church must work together in order to build disciples for the Lord Jesus Christ.
