March 2017

To all RCS families,

Spring break is here! I am sure many of you are looking forward to having some warmer weather, albeit a little wet. We thank God for all the amazing blessings He has given us.

The notice for the upcoming Special Resolution meeting on April 10 has been mailed to our members. As well, an email with the proposed update to RCS Constitution and Bylaws has gone out to all members. Please take a moment to review the document package. If you have any feedback, please forward your questions and comments to chair@myrcs.ca. We will address them during the meeting.

It is the time again for the Board to seek nominations from our community to serve as one of the Trustees. If you know of anyone who has a heart for the school and Christian Education, please nominate them. The ideal person is someone who has served on one of our committees or with prior Board experience. You can pick up a nomination form from the campus office. Completed forms can be dropped off at one of the offices or email to chair@myrcs.ca.

Enjoy a wonderful time with your family during the Spring Break!

RCS Board of Trustees.

Middle Campus Principal

I am very pleased to announce that Ms. Bonnie Burton has been selected as the new Principal of the Middle Campus. Ms. Burton was the successful candidate from the applications that were received. She has 28 years of experience in the elementary, middle and secondary school settings, including six years as a vice-principal, eight years as a curriculum coordinator and ten years of experience as an athletic director.

We look forward to working with Ms. Burton anticipating the joy, creativity and leadership that she will bring to an already dynamic middle campus. Your prayers and support are coveted as Ms. Burton transitions into this role in the next school year. The principal role is both a rewarding and challenging job requiring a variety of gifts, talents and abilities. A special thank you is expressed to the selection committee for their diligence and wisdom in determining who should lead the school after Ms. Walker retires.

Mr. Roger Grose
Superintendent
