Whether you are already a part of our Richmond Christian School community or are exploring our website for the first time, we want to warmly welcome you here.
We are a community that loves the Lord and seeks His transformative work over our own lives and our school. Our Mission, Vision, and Core Values are foundational to everything we do, framing how we seek to provide quality, Christ-centered education where we joyfully serve Christ in all aspects of life. Our educators care deeply about our students and desire all of them to flourish as uniquely made image-bearers.
At RCS, we believe that learning is never just about acquiring information, but is always formative – shaping who students are becoming through every lesson, conversation, and relationship.
We are uniquely situated in the Richmond area and feel called to be a beacon in the community, deepening our learning through serving the Lord both locally and globally, recognizing we are deeply formed through engaging in service.
We know that in order to live most fully into our Mission, Vision, and Core Values, they need to be central to everything we do educationally. This includes thoughtful attention not only to what students learn, but how they learn and who they are becoming along the way. This takes prayerful discernment, sustained intentionality, and faithful time. As John Mark Comer shares in his book Practicing the Way, “Formation into the image of Jesus is a long, slow process, not a one-time event.” We are extremely grateful for the community that we get to partner with, many for thirteen or more years, to seek after the Lord’s transformation of our hearts and minds.
Our Deep Hope is to be formed to transform – to be shaped by the Spirit to reflect Christ more fully and to engage in learning that reveals God’s story, invites meaningful service, and joins in with His restorative work.
And we all…are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
