Richmond Christian School is looking for an Accounting Manager to provide leadership to staff responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Business office.  The ideal candidate will have progressive experience in management and responsibility and has demonstrated abilities to work collaboratively and independently.  The successful candidate possesses excellent organizational, analytical, written and verbal communications skills.

Responsibilities

  • Accounts Receivable & Donation receipting. Processes revenue and handles the full cycle of accounts receivable. Oversees donation receipting and regulatory compliance.
  • Financial operations. Oversees day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, month-end and year-end processing.
  • Financial reporting and analysis. Prepares financial reports to department heads and principals, working papers for external auditors, and regular/ad-hoc financial analyses. 
  • Government reporting. Prepares regulatory reports, including T3010, GST returns, Eligible Students Report, Statement of Per-Student Operating Costs.
  • Financial controls. Develops and implements financial processes and internal controls.

 Qualifications

  • Recently certified Chartered Professional Accountant with a desire to deliver quality financial services.
  • Possesses knowledge and experience in managing full accounting cycles.
  • Is a proactive problem solver who keeps current trends, issues and developments in finance and business areas.
  • Familiarity with the not-for-profit sector and an education environment are definitely an asset, but not a requirement.
